8 Restaurants Hosting Christmas Dinners

The holiday season can be stressful. Between buying gifts, decorating your home and coordinating plans, there’s a lot to think about this time of year. Take one worry off that long list and hand over the responsibility of cooking dinner on Christmas to the professionals. Whether you’re looking for traditional holiday dishes or a grand buffet, here are eight restaurants worth your consideration for dinner.

Point Royal

The indoor-outdoor venue is offering a Christmas day dinner buffet, which is showcasing an expansive spread featuring items from a roasted, whole suckling pig to a traditional Buche de Noel. Other dishes include Point Royal’s signature mac and cheese, a smoked whole branzino, Christmas-themed cookies and peppermint bark. The $65 buffet experience, which is $25 for children 12 and under, includes the choice between bottomless Champagne, coffee or tea.

Market 17

A three-course menu will be offered for $65 per person at Market 17. Choose from a selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Options include crispy skin duck confit, grilled grass-fed beef tenderloin, butter-poached Maine lobster and wild mushroom and fig risotto. Finish off by either eating your dessert with chocolate layer or carrot cake, or drink it with house-made, colonial-style eggnog or a Miracle on 17th Street (rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, amaro and bitters).

3030 Ocean

The restaurant in the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, 3030 Ocean, is offering a Christmas four-course prix fixe menu for $70 per person. The regular a la carte menu will also be available. It features sea-themed dishes, including Florida lobster bisque shooter, ceviche, grilled swordfish with blue crab rice and fritto misto with crispy calamari, oysters and shrimp.

Ocean 2000 

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort’s waterfront restaurant, Ocean 2000, has a five-course menu for $75 per person, starting with creamy Maine lobster bisque and followed by a starter and salad. Main course options include roasted free-range turkey, 14 oz. rib eye, Chilean sea bass and porcini mushroom and tofu risotto. End the delicious meal with candy cane mousse or Grand Marnier crème brûlée.

Wild Sea Oyster Bar & Grille

Enjoy a decadent buffet with a la carte specials at Wild Sea Oyster Bar & Grille at the Riverside Hotel for $69 per person and $35.50 for children 12 and under. The Christmas buffet will be available from noon to 9 p.m.

Tropical Acres

The family-owned steakhouse Tropical Acres will offer a special holiday menu and a la carte menu. The holiday menu features roasted young turkey, prime ribs of beef, baked Virginia ham and rack of lamb with mint jelly. Each holiday dinner includes soup, a potato side, salad, garden fresh pole beans, dessert and coffee or tea.

Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits

Located at the Ritz-Carlton, Burlock Coast will have a merry, buffet-style Christmas feast starting at noon for $105 per adult and $49 for children. You can indulge in a selection of sweet or savory dishes and items from the artisanal cheese and charcuterie display, salad station, raw bar station, carving stations and sushi and dim sum station. Desserts to complete the meal range from popcorn panna cotta to eggnog truffles and a chocolate molten lava cake station.

Nick’s Italian Restaurant

In addition to the regular menu, Nick’s Italian Restaurant will offer Nick’s honey baked ham, shrimp pomodoro and snapper puttanesca. Enjoy great hits from decades past, classic American Standards and holiday classics performed by It Takes Two! at Nick’s UpStairs Supper Club from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
